Title of original: The Tragedie of Tancred and Gismund. Compiled by the Gentlemen of the Inner Temple, and by them presented before her Majestie. Newly reuiued and polished according to the decorum of these daies. By R.W. London, Printed by Thomas Scarlet, and are to be solde by R. Robinson. 1592.

"The epistle dedicatorie" is signed Robert Wilmot. From the initials given at the end of each act, it appears that Act II was by Henry Noel, Act IV by Christopher Hatton, and Act V by Wilmot; the authors of Act I (Rod.Staf.) and Act III (G.Al.) have not yet been identified. cf. Camb. hist. of Eng. lit., v. 5, p. 81-86, and Dict. nat. biog.
